When I created Radiant By Design, I envisioned a double upside-down triangle as the symbol to represent it. This symbol holds deep meaning, embodying the principles of faith, healing, and divine guidance. While it is commonly associated with the water element, its significance aligns beautifully with biblical themes of surrender, transformation, and God’s provision.

Throughout Scripture, water is used as a powerful symbol of purification, renewal, and the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives. From the waters of creation in Genesis to the baptism of Jesus, water represents God’s divine work of transformation and renewal in our hearts and minds.

Let’s explore the deeper, faith-based meaning of this symbol and how it reflects God’s design for healing and wholeness.

INTUITION: Hearing God’s Voice

Water is often linked to emotions and intuition, but as believers, our intuition is more than just a feeling—it is the Holy Spirit guiding us. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

The double upside-down triangle serves as a reminder to trust in God’s wisdom rather than our own. Just as water flows naturally, we are called to surrender and allow His guidance to lead us in all areas of life, including our healing journey.

ADAPTABILITY: Trusting God’s Plan

Water is adaptable, flowing around obstacles and shaping itself to its surroundings. This mirrors how we are called to trust God’s plan, even when life takes unexpected turns. Romans 8:28 assures us:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

In spirituality and functional medicine, adaptability is key—our bodies are designed to adjust, and our souls are designed to lean into God’s wisdom in every season of change. Learning to trust Him rather than resist the process allows us to walk in peace, even when we don’t understand His ways.

TRANSFORMATION: Renewed in Christ

Water has the power to cleanse, purify, and bring new life—just as God transforms us from the inside out. The double triangle represents this journey: the lower triangle symbolizes our earthly struggles, while the upper triangle points to our spiritual renewal in Christ.

Romans 12:2 speaks to this transformation:

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Healing isn’t just about the body. It’s about renewing our minds and spirits through Christ’s love and truth. True transformation happens when we surrender to Him.

RECEIVING: Embracing God’s Grace

The upside-down triangle is often associated with feminine energy and receptivity, but biblically, it reminds us of the importance of receiving God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 declares:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Healing begins when we open our hearts to God’s grace, allowing Him to do the work we cannot do on our own. Instead of striving, we are called to rest in His presence, knowing that He is our ultimate source of strength and renewal.

GUIDANCE: Walking in God’s Light

The two triangles also represent the relationship between the guide and the guided. While my work in functional medicine, emotional intelligence, and nervous system regulation helps people on their journey, true guidance comes from the Lord. Psalm 119:105 affirms:

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

God is our ultimate guide, and He calls us to seek wisdom in His Word, listen for His voice, and trust that He will direct our steps toward healing and wholeness.

THE LIVING WATER

The double upside-down triangle is more than just a symbol—it is a reminder of the living water that flows through us when we abide in Christ. Jesus Himself said:

“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John 7:38)

Water is life-giving, just as our faith in Christ sustains us. By embracing the qualities this symbol represents—trust, surrender, transformation, grace, and divine guidance—we align ourselves with God’s perfect design for healing and restoration.

May this symbol serve as a reminder that true radiance comes not from striving, but from being filled with His presence and walking in His purpose.
